MGIS is pleased to join the Council for Disability Awareness (CDA) as a member firm, as of January 1, 2024. The CDA is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping working adults understand the importance of having alternate sources of income for times when they cannot work due to illness, injury, or pregnancy.

The CDA drives powerful research, communications and educational activities that provide resources to employees, employers, financial advisors, and consultants.  The mission of the CDA is to expand public awareness of the risk of disability and its financial burdens, and to demonstrate the value of proper financial planning.

MGIS, as a leading national program manager specializing in insurance for doctors, is committed to building awareness about the impact of disability through its work on the CDA.  “The CDA is a critical consortium of industry professionals dedicated to furthering the discussion around the value of proper financial protection with disability insurance,” said Jeff Brunken, President at MGIS.  “We’re looking forward to participating in important CDA educational campaigns as an active member and driver of change.”

MGIS will contribute to the CDA’s blog site frequently and during the spring and fall campaigns, with curated content focused on educating employees, brokers, and employers alike. MGIS will have membership on the CDA’s marketing committee, represented by the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Alexandra Ginieres.
