Steven J. Lempp Named Regional Vice President, MPL, East Coast; Matthew B. Ririe Joins as Regional Vice President, LTD, West Coast

SALT LAKE CITY – (November 5, 2012) – The MGIS Companies, Inc. (MGIS), the nation’s leading provider of insurance products and services specifically for physicians, today announced that Steven J. Lempp has been named regional vice president of sales, medical professional liability (MPL), covering the eastern region; and Matthew B. Ririe has been appointed regional vice president of sales, group disability (LTD), covering the western region.

Expanding the sales team in two key regions exemplifies MGIS’ growth and continued expansion. Lempp, who has served in executive positions at MGIS since 2001, will be responsible for strategic business development of the MPL product within the eastern region. He has served in a number of capacities at MGIS, including sales, operations, compliance and litigation management. Prior to joining MGIS, Lempp was regional vice president of business development with The Medical Protective Company. Throughout his career at MGIS, Lempp has built a reputation for excellent service to brokers and enjoys strong relationships with them. Ririe, a licensed CPA with a master of accountancy, will be responsible for strategic growth of the disability block within the western region. He joins MGIS from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he served as an experienced associate, focused on providing financial and analytical services to clients. He excels in developing and maintaining strong relationships and enjoys identifying strategic opportunities for his clients. The MGIS sales force reports to Randall Tate, vice president of sales. The LTD national sales team includes regional vice presidents of sales Keith Mangrum, Bob Tretter and Matt Ririe. The national sales team for MPL includes regional vice presidents of sales Ben Swenson and Steve Lempp.
