The MGIS/Freedom medical-professional liability insurance program offers broad coverage to select physicians. Coverage is offered by Freedom Specialty Insurance Company, rated A+ by A. M. Best on an admitted basis in approved states.

• Standard limits are $1,000,000 per claim / $3,000,000 aggregate, or as required by state statute or applicable state fund

• Claims-Made Incident Sensitive Form
• Full consent-to-settle
• Defense costs are outside the limits of liability
• Separate limit of liability can be provided for group practice submissions comprised of two or more physicians
• Full Prior Acts coverage available to eligible risks
• World-wide coverage for claims brought in the U.S.
• Supplemental trial expense coverage of $500 per day, up to $10,000 included
• Supplemental coverage to reimburse for regulatory and billing related proceedings up to $25,000
• Locum tenens coverage at no charge
• Coverage provided for peer review and professional committee activities
• Coverage provided for good Samaritan activities
• Discounts available for new and part-time physicians, loss-free history, and approved risk-management activities
• Locum Tenens coverage provided without premium charge upon underwriting approval
• Unlimited extended reporting coverage provided without charge in the event of death, disability, or retirement after five continuous years of Freedom Specialty coverage
